Wellington is a different kind of service area. Alongside family neighborhoods, you have gated polo and golf enclaves, large estates, and working equestrian properties with barns, tack rooms and grooms’ quarters. Each of those puts different demands on air conditioning, and we plan our service around them.
Wellington neighborhoods we serve
We work throughout the Village of Wellington, including homes in:
- Palm Beach Polo & Country Club and its neighborhoods
- Olympia
- Wycliffe
- Black Diamond
- The Landings at Wellington (Wellington Aero Club)
- Wellington Equestrian Club
- Grand Prix Village and the surrounding equestrian estates
What we see in Wellington homes
Much of Wellington was built from the 1980s through the 2000s. That means many homes are now on their second or third air conditioner, and some older systems still run on R-22 refrigerant, which is no longer produced. When an R-22 system needs a major repair, replacing it is usually the better investment. Our refrigerant guide explains the options.
Larger Wellington homes often have two or more systems, or zoned systems covering separate wings. Keeping every system on a regular maintenance schedule matters, because one failed unit on a hot afternoon leaves part of the house uncomfortable fast.
Cooling barns, tack rooms and equestrian properties
Equestrian properties need cooling in places that were never built with ductwork: tack rooms, feed rooms, barn offices, lounges and grooms’ apartments. Ductless mini-split systems are a common solution because each room gets its own quiet, efficient indoor unit with no ducts to run.
Barns are also hard on equipment. Dust, hay and bedding particles clog filters and coat coils faster than in a typical home, so these systems benefit from more frequent filter changes and coil cleaning. It is worth having them serviced before the winter show season begins, when properties are at their busiest.
Commercial refrigeration in Wellington
Restaurants, markets and venues along State Road 7 and Forest Hill Boulevard, around the Mall at Wellington Green, and the hospitality businesses that get busy during equestrian season all depend on walk-in coolers, reach-ins and ice machines. We provide 24/7 commercial refrigeration repair so a failure doesn’t turn into lost inventory.
Permits for AC replacement in Wellington
AC replacement in Florida requires a licensed contractor and a permit. For properties inside the Village of Wellington, permits are issued by the Village of Wellington Building Department (Planning, Zoning & Building) at 12300 Forest Hill Boulevard, and applications are submitted electronically. Some addresses that use a Wellington mailing address are actually in unincorporated Palm Beach County, where the county issues the permit instead. We check which authority applies to your property and handle the permit as part of the job.
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you get to Wellington?
Wellington is roughly 20 to 25 minutes from our West Palm Beach base in normal traffic. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and dispatch a technician as fast as possible.
Can you install AC in a barn or tack room without ductwork?
Yes. Ductless mini-split systems are a common way to cool tack rooms, barn offices and grooms’ quarters because they need no ductwork and each room gets its own control.
Do you service homes with more than one AC system?
Yes. Many larger Wellington homes have multiple or zoned systems, and we repair, maintain and replace all of them.
